Purchasing Officer (Road Construction Projects)
Job Description
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Assist in controlling the items and other ordered products.
- Quick inform to supplier about goods received in bad condition or broke to be changed.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Check and compare sale price with competitors and find new items.
- Conduct pricing survey on assigned products.
- Seek suppliers of any products as needed.
- Corporate with Stock controller providing information and documents before the goods arrive.
- Daily report of purchase order and follow up with suppliers.
- Occasionally transport the products from the suppliers to the warehouse.
- Create code for new Items.
- Make contract with supplier.
- Verifies invoice of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
- Monitor (quality and quantity) when the goods arrive.
- Search suppliers regularly to compare and get new, better and unique products.
- Other tasks assigned by Manager
Job Requirement
- Graduate BBA or related of any fields.
- At least one year experience in handling purchase with sub-contract is an advantage.
- Computer skill: Ms Office (Words, Excels), the Internet and Email.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be honesty, Dynamic, willing to work and fast learner as well as flexible.
- With a strong price analysis and market analysis capabilities.
- Able to work under pressure
